What is "lô gan"?
Lô gan is the Vietnamese term for a loto number that has been absent for a long time. If 27 has not appeared among the 27 prizes for 12 draws in a row, it is "overdue by 12 draws". The record gap is the longest absence for that number within the 300 draws shown.
Is a long-overdue number "about to appear"?
No. This common belief is known as the gambler's fallacy. The draw machine has no memory, so in every draw the chance that a specific number appears at least once is the same, about 24%, whether it appeared yesterday or has been absent for 30 draws.
Why do long gaps happen?
With 100 possible numbers, it is statistically normal for a few to be absent for more than 20 draws. Long gaps are a natural result of randomness, not a signal.
Statistics only describe past draws. Every draw is random and independent, so no number is ever "due" or "certain to win".
